”Green Week” is the largest international agrarian and food products exhibition forum.
Presented at the exhibition will be the latest technology and scientific achievements in the field of agricultural production, processing and food industry, full assortment of food products (meat and dairy products, food additives and ingredients, seafood and fish delicacies, pastry items, vegetables, fruit and berries, conserves, the entire specter of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, dietary products, etc), and also folk/artistic crafts and national cuisines of various people of the world. The exhibition also includes equipment and inventory for agriculture, farming and industrial horticulture, seed-farming, flowers, fertilizers, hunting and fishing equipment, veterinary preparations and food additives. A separate section of the exhibition will showcase livestock breeding.
Russia will be presented at the “Green Week” exhibition in 2006 as a partner country for the first time ever. In connection with this, Russia is planning to organize a large-scale exhibit with comprehensive showing of the opportunities and prospects of the domestic agricultural industry. This exhibit will reflect the potential and competitive ability of the food products market in Russia.
The broad business program at the “Green Week” international exhibition, including many scientific/practical events, will promote the establishment of mutually beneficial contacts between producers and buyers from around the world. The main event of the exhibition will be the 14th International “East-West” Forum, the goal of which is the development of partner relationships in the agribusiness sector between countries of Eastern and Western Europe.
In 2005, Russian businesses participated in “Green Week” for the 12th time (since 1994). The Russian section was housed in pavilion 2.2 with a gross floor space of 6,000 square meters.
Over 400 leading companies from 19 regions of Russia, operating in the agricultural and food products field, participated in the joint Russian exhibit; and 13 regions organized collective displays.
The number of specialists traveling to participate in the “Green Week” exhibition totaled over 600 people.
The official delegation from the Russian Federation was lead by A.V. Gordeyev, Minister of Agriculture of the RF. The delegation consisted of more than 150 representatives of political and business circles, as well as the business elite.

AIC AREC LLC is the executive directorate for preparing and organizing the Russian national exhibit, and also for conducting all events pertaining to the participation of Russian specialists in the “Green Week – 2006” exhibition (building displays, customs formulation and transportation of exhibitory cargo, organizing work at the exhibition, participation in business and cultural programs, air transportation, housing, etc).
