Demonstration of agricultural equipment and equipment for horticulture

The Russian Field Day - 2005 exhibition/demonstration was held July 15-17, 2005 on the basis of the Malinischi, Pavlovskoye and Retkinskiy farms, which are located in the Pronskiy and Ryazanskiy districts of the Ryazanskaya region (30 km from the city of Ryazan). More than 250 companies from 43 regions of Russia and 20 foreign countries participated in the exhibition. More than 10,000 people attended the exhibition.

During the exhibition, contracts and letters of intent were concluded totaling 200 million rubles.

The goals of the exhibition/demonstration:
  • to acquaint a wide spectrum of leaders and specialists in the agricultural sector with the status of and prospects for development of the agricultural industry in the Ryazanskaya region;
  • acquaintance with the status of and prospects for the development of agricultural machine building, and also other branches of the agricultural industry of the RF;
  • summarization and determination of the prospects of the domestic agricultural industry in the coming year;
  • acquaintance with leading technologies designed by the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other scientific organizations;
  • the commercialization of technology;
  • acquaintance with the problems and methods of perfecting material/technical and financial assistance for the agricultural industry;
  • attracting investments.
Attendees of the exhibition/demonstration included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RF, lead by the Minister of Agriculture of the RF, A.V. Gordeyevym, Assistant to the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Central Federal District, leaders of the executive branch of the Ryazanskaya region, lead by Governor G.I. Shpak, representatives of the Federal Agricultural Agency, the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, M. Kh. Musayev, General Director of the GAO AREC (All-Russian Exhibition Center), and representatives of business circles.

At the press conference held on an open field, A.V. Gordeyev summarized and identified the development prospects for the domestic agricultural industry in the coming year. The Ministry of Agricultural suggested exempting agricultural producers of excise taxes on the purchase of combustive/lubricating products, beginning in 2006. The Minister noted that, beginning in August of 2005, the government plans to begin purchasing grain as part of an intervention plan to stabilize prices in the market.

Within the framework of the exhibition, in specially designated areas, there were daily presentations of more than 50 machines for soil processing, protection and harvesting of crops; and furthermore, the latest aviation technology designed for the needs of the agricultural industry was also demonstrated.

The organizers of the exhibition/demonstration: the Ministry of Agriculture of the RF, the Federal Agricultural Agency, the Government of the Ryazanskaya region, the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the GAO All-Russian Exhibition Center. Within the framework of the Russian Field Day -2005 exhibition/demonstration, a scientific/practical conference entitled Modern Technology - the basis for increasing the economic effectiveness of the agricultural industry was held. The number of participants totaled 700. The main topics of the conference were:
  • The development of agricultural technologies and the formation of a government technological policy in the field of agriculture;
  • Methodology and experience in designing agricultural technology;
  • Mechanical/technological protection of resources in drought-affected agricultural areas;
  • Competitiveness of equipment used in modern agricultural production;
  • The next generation of lubricating materials - a new level of reliability for tractor equipment.
